Jason Davis, Founder + CEO
Jason Davis was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and later earned a Masters in International Relations from the University of São Paulo in São Paulo, Brazil. He currently serves as an infantry officer in the United States Army where he has led organizations across the globe ranging from 8 to 1000 Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen. From the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan to the jungles of South America, he has seen a number of different situations and challenges that remind him of the importance of leadership in everything we do.
He views leadership not as a science or an art, but having aspects of both. He does not see a difference in leaders and managers as they both have particular focuses, but both require aspects of the other in order to be successful in their jobs. It is with this focus that he founded Phase Line, in order to teach others how to take the science & art of leadership and apply it to everyday situations and challenges that we all face in work and life. He finds purpose in helping others to draw out and maximize their leadership skills to improve themselves, their communities and their professions.
Brett Stroney, Chief Learning Officer
Brett Stroney grew up in northern Ohio in greater Cleveland area to be exact. In his desire to pursue a collegiate experience beyond the academic, he became intrigued by the mission of and later attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. His experiences there shaped the leader he came to be and laid the foundation for his career in the Army. He served on active duty for the better part of nine years; starting as an Infantry Officer and later transitioned into Special Forces after earning the hallowed Green Beret. Green Berets are the Unconventional Warfare experts of the United States Military and as such have the capacities to execute various advanced mission types while maintaining regionally specific language and cultural training; his specialty is in Latin America and Spanish.
In his career, he has had to adapt to myriad of physical and sociopolitical environments, all the while adjusting to and overcoming cultural and language barriers. He deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan but also served in Central America. During each deployment, the combat tested intangibles he developed on active duty continue to serve me well in the private sector. At the same time, his sales, managerial, and business development experiences in the civilian workforce have tempered and modified his personal leadership style in the corporate world.
